Why we do it

42% of Fortune 500 CEOs have an MBA on their resume.

An MBA offers a wealth of advantages, including a path to leadership and access to a strong network of professionals. By diversifying the MBA talent pipeline, we aspire to foster new generations of inclusive leaders.

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 31 percent of African Americans and 22 percent of Latinos worked in management, professional, and related occupations while 54 percent of Asians and 41 percent of Whites worked in the same occupations.

According to a report by McKinsey and Company, for every 10 percent increase in racial and ethnic diversity on the senior-executive team, earnings before interest and taxes rise 0.8 percent. Studies have shown that chief executive officers stand to gain from non diverse boards. We believe in the value of inclusion in the boardroom and at the decision making table. We want to make a difference by building a pipeline of inclusive leaders.

“Statistically speaking, I wasn’t supposed to make it. But with the strategic advice, tactical help, encouragement, knowledge, expertise, and support from the Ivy Fellows program, I am now a proud Sloan grad working in Venture Capital.”
